Bollinger Canyon Elementary School is the home of the Bulldogs! They are a school of approximately 500 students who take pride in adhering to The Bulldog Way of being Healthy, Respectful, and Responsible. Their faculty and staff work tirelessly to provide students with a 21st-century curriculum that emphasizes literacy, character growth, and deep learning engagement.
They have a monthly Character Trait of the Month, as well as a monthly Book of the Month and a monthly Flag Salute. To advance their team’s expertise and practice, they believe in differentiated teaching, small group intervention, and data analysis. Their parent group is very supportive of them, as shown by their PTA, Bulldog Fund, and Site Council. Because of their families' generous fund-raising and donation efforts, they are able to fund extras such as K–5 music, advanced art lessons, a computer lab assistant, librarian, and classroom help by paraeducators.
Seven groups of students with extreme autism and other developmental/medical needs are housed at their school. They consider themselves fortunate to have the opportunity to teach and learn from these exceptional students who offer unparalleled opportunities for communication and exploration. San Ramon is served by Bollinger Canyon, which is bordered by Bollinger Canyon Road west of Interstate Highway 680. The surrounding neighborhood is mostly made up of single-family homes, with a few apartments and condominiums thrown in for good measure.
